Summary

From the USA Today bestselling author of A Curve in the Road comes a sweeping and captivating tale of one woman’s journey to the lush vineyards of Tuscany—and into the mysteries of a tragic family secret。

If Fiona has learned anything in life, it’s how to keep a secret—even from the father who raised her。 She is the only person who knows about her late mother’s affair in Tuscany thirty years earlier, and she intends to keep it that way…until a lawyer calls with shocking news: her biological father has died and left her an incredible inheritance—along with two half siblings。

Fiona travels to Italy, where the family is shocked to learn of her existence and desperate to contest her share of the will。 While the mystery of her mother’s affair is slowly unraveled, Fiona must navigate through tricky family relationships and tense sibling rivalries。 Fiona both fears and embraces her new destiny as she searches for the truth about the fateful summer her mother spent in Italy and the father she never knew。

Spilling over with the sumptuous flavors and romance of Tuscany, These Tangled Vines takes readers on a breathtaking journey of love, secrets, sacrifice, courage—and most importantly, the true meaning of family。

Good beach read! While I didn't actually read this at the beach or even on vacation, it would absolutely fall in that category。 Was very descriptive and varied in the storytelling and kept my interest the entire time。 Most enjoyable! Lovely narrativeA story of an unfulfilled love due to a sense of responsibility and honor! A bitter sweet plot where the characters deal with self denial in order to fulfill marriage vows and endure gross manipulation。Love, a horrible accident, inheritance and finally resolution; all to create a beautiful love story 。 Protagonists are heroic and honorable! Great read! Enjoy!

Carol

EnjoyedInteresting character development, and storyline。 Enjoyed the wine references, and the travel without fighting airplanes in today's insanity ;)。 Will look for more by author。 EnjoyedInteresting character development, and storyline。 Enjoyed the wine references, and the travel without fighting airplanes in today's insanity ;)。 Will look for more by author。 。。。more

I read this super quickly and that's probably the only reason I finished it。 It's a pretty predictable romance / family drama and is written with really heavy-handed narration and dialogue。 Fine for lovers of the genre but not my style。 I read this super quickly and that's probably the only reason I finished it。 It's a pretty predictable romance / family drama and is written with really heavy-handed narration and dialogue。 Fine for lovers of the genre but not my style。 。。。more

I loved the setting in this book。 But the characters were either “too perfect” or “too bad” without the layers that normal humans have。 And you didn’t even realize the Italian characters were Italian。。。everyone spoke perfect English, nothing like real life。 The descriptions of their meals though made me want to jump on a flight to Italy immediately!

Barbara

Great book。 A really good beach read。 Recommend it highly。

I loved this book as much as the last Julianne MacLean book I read。 I didn't have to read it as part of a series, even though I could see a future story if she wanted it, and the book ended neatly。 I was intrigued by the synopsis and decided to purchase it based on that alone。 It has a sort of puzzle to it that you can start to pick out but you learn some secrets along the way。 I loved this book as much as the last Julianne MacLean book I read。 I didn't have to read it as part of a series, even though I could see a future story if she wanted it, and the book ended neatly。 I was intrigued by the synopsis and decided to purchase it based on that alone。 It has a sort of puzzle to it that you can start to pick out but you learn some secrets along the way。 。。。more

A lovely storyA charming summer afternoon escape。 The author doles out the details at just the right pace。 Even though the punch line is revealed early, how we got here and the characters involved trickle out in tantalizing fashion。 I was totally satisfied at the end。

Very good summer readI could imagine reading this book on a sunny beach。 The romance in the book is fitted into an interesting story of how deception and secret keeping can erode relationships and how greed can prevent the characters from experiencing a relationship that could have been precious。
